National Development and Reform Commission approved the proposal for the construction of the new railway project from Nanyang to Xinyang to Hefei.

According to the website of the National Development and Reform Commission, recently, the National Development and Reform Commission approved the construction proposal for the new Nanyang-Xinyang-Hefei railway project. The total length of the main line of the project is 515 kilometers, with 390 kilometers of new lines and 125 kilometers utilizing the under-construction along the Yangtze River high-speed railway from Hefei to Wuhan, with a total investment of approximately 68.1 billion yuan. The construction of the project is of great significance for serving the rapid development of the central region, improving the infrastructure in the Dabie Mountains revolutionary old areas, and promoting regional economic and social development.
