Qingdao: Vigorously promote the development of high-end marine engineering equipment assembly and repair and modification, with a focus on enhancing the research and development capabilities of cutting-edge equipment such as underwater robotics.

According to the Qingdao Daily, the "Qingdao City Shipbuilding and Marine Equipment Industry Stable Growth Work Plan" was jointly issued by seven departments including the Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau, the Municipal Party Committee Financial Office, the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the Municipal Natural Resources and Planning Bureau, the Municipal Ocean Development Bureau, and the Municipal Commerce Bureau. The plan outlines the development goals for the city's shipbuilding and marine equipment industry by 2026. In terms of the marine equipment industry, Qingdao will consolidate its traditional advantages in marine oil and gas equipment such as FPSO, vigorously develop high-end marine equipment assembly, construction, and repair and modification. The city will focus on enhancing research and development capabilities in cutting-edge equipment technologies such as underwater robots and marine monitoring sensors, to strengthen and expand the advantages of the industry.
