Jiangsu Province has announced new subsidies for purchasing new cars, with a maximum direct subsidy of 7000 yuan.
In order to implement the special action to boost consumption, on the evening of March 21, cities in Jiangsu province such as Nanjing, Suzhou, Changzhou, Zhenjiang, and Xuzhou simultaneously released new subsidies for car purchases to stimulate the automotive consumption market with actual incentives. According to the requirements of the "Notice on Supporting Localities to Carry Out Activities to Promote Consumption by Purchasing New Cars" issued by the Provincial Department of Commerce, Provincial Department of Finance, and Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the province has unified the standards for new car purchase subsidies. Subsidies will be provided based on different price ranges and categories of vehicles. Subsidies will be given on a first-come, first-served basis until the allocated amount is used up. This subsidy is aimed at individual consumers purchasing small or compact passenger cars for personal use, with new energy vehicle models included in the MIIT tax-exempt directory. The unified subsidy standards are as follows: for cars priced between 5,000-10,000 yuan, gasoline cars receive a subsidy of 1,000 yuan and new energy cars receive a subsidy of 2,000 yuan; for cars priced between 10,000-20,000 yuan, gasoline cars receive a subsidy of 3,000 yuan and new energy cars receive a subsidy of 4,000 yuan; for cars priced between 20,000-40,000 yuan, gasoline cars receive a subsidy of 5,000 yuan and new energy cars receive a subsidy of 6,000 yuan; for cars priced above 40,000 yuan, gasoline cars receive a subsidy of 6,000 yuan and new energy cars receive a subsidy of 7,000 yuan. The subsidy cannot be enjoyed in combination with other provincial subsidies for scrapping and upgrading, replacement and upgrading, and other similar benefits. Zhenjiang, Xuzhou, and other places explicitly allow the subsidy to be stacked on top of discounts offered by car manufacturers.
