Spokesperson of the Southern Theater Command releases statement

Colonel Zhai Shichen, the spokesperson for the Southern Theater Command, stated that on March 20th, a Filipino C-208 aircraft illegally entered the airspace near Meiji Reef in the South China Sea without the permission of the Chinese government. The People's Liberation Army of China's Southern Theater Command organized naval and air forces to track, monitor, warn, and drive away the aircraft in accordance with the law and regulations. The Filipino actions seriously violated Chinese sovereignty. We warn the Filipino side to immediately stop infringing and provoking, and to jointly maintain peace and stability in the South China Sea region.
