The United States approves $16.5 billion in arms sales to three Middle Eastern countries to replenish losses.
On the 19th, the US State Department approved military sales plans to the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Jordan with a total value of about $16.5 billion, supplying radar, anti-drone systems, and other military equipment to these three Middle Eastern countries. In multiple statements, the US State Department said that the US will sell 10 sets of "Fixed Site Low Altitude Slow Small Unmanned Aircraft Integrated Defense Systems" and related equipment to the UAE, valued at about $2.1 billion; remote identification radars and related equipment for end-stage high-altitude area defense systems, valued at about $4.5 billion; 400 advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles and related equipment, valued at $1.22 billion; and ammunition for F-16 fighter jets valued at $644 million. At the same time, the US will sell low-altitude air defense and missile defense radars to Kuwait valued at about $8 billion; and military sales to Jordan valued at about $70.5 million, including aircraft maintenance and ammunition support.
