On March 18, Sam released a draft of updated return policy for public feedback, which was questioned by consumers. Consumers expressed that prior to this, the no-reason return period on the Sam platform was as long as 90 days, and if this adjustment is implemented, the return window may be significantly shortened. On March 19, Sam officially responded that the optimization of the Sam member store return policy this time does not involve adjusting the return period. This adjustment is to clarify the applicable situations for applying for exchanges online, and add a post-purchase evaluation function to further enhance service transparency and member experience. In response to this matter, a Blue Whale reporter called the Sam Shanghai store, and the staff added: "Online returns are within 7 days, while offline store returns need to be based on the product. For fresh products, if there is no quality issue within the shelf life, they cannot be returned or exchanged, but can be exchanged within the shelf life. For electronic products, if there is a quality issue, they can be fully refunded within 7 days, or exchanged within 15 days. In offline stores, nuts, toys, and clothing can be returned or exchanged within 90 days within their respective shelf lives."
