South African Navy's "Amatola" frigate visits Shanghai.

Yesterday, the South African Navy's frigate "Amatola" arrived at a military port in Shanghai, starting a 5-day friendly visit. At around 4 p.m., a welcome ceremony was held at the dock by a naval base in the Eastern Theater Command, with officers and soldiers in neat formation and a military band playing welcoming music. This visit is the first time the "Amatola" has visited Shanghai and the second time a South African naval vessel has visited China since 2008. It aims to deepen practical exchanges between the two navies, enhance strategic mutual trust, and jointly maintain regional peace and stability.
