Microsoft and Meta drive data center leasing scale to soar to $700 billion.

Microsoft and Meta Platforms Inc. have recently each added nearly $50 billion in data center leasing commitments to support the development of artificial intelligence. The total commitment for future data center leasing, including global cloud computing companies such as Oracle and Amazon, has exceeded $700 billion. These future leasing commitments will be paid in installments over the period of 15-19 years.
