Li Ka-chung: The SAR government actively connects with the national "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" outline to promote high-quality development.

Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carrie Lam, stated on the 12th that Hong Kong will actively align with the "15th Five-Year Plan" outline, and contribute to further comprehensive reform and the advancement of Chinese-style modernization. Lam said, "I sincerely thank the country for its steadfast support and care for Hong Kong. The '15th Five-Year Plan' outline includes many initiatives to promote long-term prosperity and stability in Hong Kong, as well as deepen the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. I will lead the SAR Government to fulfill the role of the first responsible person, unite various sectors of society to actively cooperate and align with the national '15th Five-Year Plan'. We will establish a systematic policy framework to make more comprehensive, precise, and detailed strategic deployment in key development areas, and formulate the first 'Hong Kong Five-Year Plan', which will be macroscopic, strategic, and forward-looking. The preparatory groups established by various policy bureaus earlier, as instructed by me, have now been converted into the 'Hong Kong Five-Year Plan' drafting groups, and they will work at full speed to draft the 'Hong Kong Five-Year Plan' and complete related work within this year."
