UBS Group's global entrepreneur clients believe that artificial intelligence will provide the biggest opportunities in the next five years, contrasting sharply with industries that see it as a threat. UBS points out that more than half of their ultra-high-net-worth clients see artificial intelligence as the technology that will provide the greatest business opportunities for their businesses. Approximately 67% of cross-industry respondents believe that improving operational efficiency and automation will have the biggest positive impact in the next five years. The report shows that despite recent political and economic unpredictability, entrepreneurs remain optimistic. While they rank political and geopolitical instability as the top short-term and long-term concerns, they still hold a positive outlook on their own business prospects. Improving operational efficiency and diversification are seen as the top measures to mitigate the negative impact of the current geopolitical environment. The report finds that global entrepreneurs are focused on diversifying their markets and/or customer base.
