CMB Securities: BYD's second-generation blade battery achieves 5-minute fast charging, maintains "hold" rating.

CMB Securities released a research report stating that BYD Co., Ltd. has released the second generation blade battery and flash charging technology. The new battery can be charged from 10% to 70% in 5 minutes, and from 10% to 97% in 9 minutes, breaking the record for the fastest charging speed for production models. On-site tests show that BYD Dolphin 07EV took approximately 8 minutes and 44 seconds to charge from 10% to 97%. The company has set the charging limit at 97% to reserve about 3% of the battery for energy recovery during braking. CMB Securities maintains a "hold" rating on BYD.
