Commissioner Liu Zheng: The past 100 rocket launches took only a little over a year.
At the second "member channel" of the 14th Session of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference held on March 7th, Liu Zheng, director of the Capital Aerospace Machinery Company of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, did some calculations: it took 37 years from the first rocket launch of New China to the 100th launch, but only over a year for the most recent 100 launches. Some technological innovations in China's aerospace sector have entered uncharted territory. Without ready-made roads ahead, only through independent innovation can we take the initiative in international competition.
