China Development Bank issued 12 billion yuan in green financial bonds to support the green upgrade of infrastructure.

Today, it was learned from the China Development Bank that the bank successfully issued 12 billion yuan of 3-year green financial bonds on March 5 at the Shanghai Clearing House, with an issue rate of 1.55% and a subscription multiple of 3.01 times. Investors showed great enthusiasm in subscribing to it. As of now, the China Development Bank has issued a total of 241.5 billion yuan of green financial bonds. It is reported that, the projects selected for this issuance strictly follow the "Catalogue of Green Financial Support Projects", with a green rating of G1. The raised funds will mainly be used for green upgrades of infrastructure, green and low-carbon transformation of energy, recycling industries, energy-saving and carbon reduction industries, etc. It is estimated that after the completion of these projects, they can save an average of 254,700 tons of standard coal per year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 616,300 tons.
