According to customs statistics, during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the foreign trade volume of the western region reached 19.5 trillion yuan, an increase of 63.8% compared to the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, with a growth rate exceeding the national average by 19.4 percentage points, demonstrating strong vitality. During the same period, the share of the western region in the national foreign trade increased from 8.1% in the "13th Five-Year Plan" period to 9.2%, an increase of 1.1 percentage points. By 2025, the foreign trade volume of the western region reached a new high of 4.4 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.7% compared to 2024, with the share in national foreign trade further increasing to 9.7%.
