On February 27th local time, Bolivian Airlines announced that El Alto International Airport was temporarily closed due to a plane crash. On that day, a Bolivian Air Force plane crashed in El Alto City. The accident involved a C-130 "Hercules" military transport aircraft, which crashed shortly after taking off from El Alto Airport. It has been reported that multiple people were injured and some vehicles were damaged.
