According to the US media Semafor, the US Department of Commerce will hold a roundtable meeting for American robot manufacturers next month to revitalize the domestic industry. According to the invitation letter from the Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration, the meeting will be held on March 10th, with the theme "Identifying Key Supply Chain and Policy Challenges Affecting US Robot Manufacturing and Deployment." Both robot and bio-robot manufacturers are included in the invitation. A spokesperson for the US Department of Commerce stated that the department is likely to listen to various opinions and viewpoints of robot manufacturers, but the discussion should not overlap with existing tariff or import/export restriction work. According to Politico's report last year, the US government is considering issuing an executive order on robots in 2026.
