Former US Treasury Secretary Connected to Epstein Will Resign from Harvard Teaching Position
On February 25th, it was learned that due to his connection to the Epstein case, Lawrence Summers, former US Treasury Secretary and former President of Harvard University, will resign from his teaching position at Harvard University after the end of the academic year. Previously, the US House Oversight Committee released documents revealing ongoing communication between Summers and Epstein, but currently there is no evidence of any illegal behavior on his part. Harvard University spokesperson Jason Newton stated that the school is reviewing documents related to Epstein, and Harvard Kennedy School Dean Jeremy Weinstein has accepted Summers' request to resign from his position as co-director of the Business and Government Center. Summers will remain on leave until the end of the academic year when he will officially retire.
