According to the National Immigration Administration, during this year's Spring Festival holiday, a total of 17.796 million Chinese and foreign nationals were checked by border control authorities for entry and exit, with an average of 1.977 million people per day, an increase of 10.1% compared to the previous year's Spring Festival holiday. The peak number of daily entry and exit clearances occurred on February 21st, reaching 2.259 million people. Among them, 9.514 million mainland residents entered and exited, an increase of 10.2% compared to the previous holiday period. 6.969 million residents of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan entered and exited, an increase of 8% compared to the previous holiday period. 1.313 million foreigners entered and exited, an increase of 21.8% compared to the previous holiday period. Among the foreign nationals entering, 460,000 entered under the visa-free policy, an increase of 28.5% compared to the previous holiday period. A total of 705,000 transportation vehicles entering and exiting were checked, an increase of 19.4% compared to the previous holiday period.
