In the 19 days before the Spring Festival travel rush, the total passenger transportation volume in Hainan Province increased by 8.05% year-on-year.

According to Hainan Daily, on February 21, the Hainan Provincial Department of Transportation held a news briefing on the guarantee work for the peak return of the Spring Festival travel rush. It was revealed at the meeting that in the first 19 days before the Spring Festival, a total of 2.3323 million passengers traveled in and out of the island through the Qiongzhou Strait, an increase of 16% compared to the previous year. Among them, 1.1535 million passengers entered the island, an increase of 10.53%; and 1.1788 million passengers left the island, an increase of 21.74%. A total of 575,400 vehicles traveled in and out of the Qiongzhou Strait, an increase of 12% compared to the previous year; 278,800 vehicles entered the island, an increase of 7.5%; and 296,600 vehicles left the island, an increase of 16.5%. In terms of civil aviation, a total of 3.8801 million passengers traveled in and out of the island in the first 19 days before the Spring Festival, an increase of 6.22% compared to the previous year. 1.9333 million passengers entered the island, an increase of 2.33%; and 1.9468 million passengers left the island, an increase of 10.38%. Overall, in the first 19 days before the Spring Festival, the total passenger traffic of Hainan Province's comprehensive transportation reached 10.6819 million passengers, an increase of 8.05% compared to the previous year. Among them, a total of 6.2125 million passengers traveled in and out of the island, an increase of 9.66% compared to the previous year. Despite the significant increase in traffic volume, the comprehensive transportation system in Hainan Province remained stable and orderly.
