Reporters learned from the Huangpu Public Security Bureau that on February 17, the first day of the Chinese New Year, there were 31,000 people at the peak moment in Yu Garden, an increase of 39.6% compared to last year; the total number of visitors was 261,000, an increase of 26.7% compared to last year. The peak moment in the Bund waterfront area was 38,000 people, an increase of 39.6% compared to last year; the total number of visitors was 396,000, an increase of 32.4% compared to last year. The peak moment in Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street was 48,000 people, an increase of 47% compared to last year; the total number of visitors was 199,000, an increase of 45.3% compared to last year. Xintiandi had 20,000 people at the peak moment, an increase of 41.9% compared to last year; the total number of visitors was 70,000, an increase of 37.3% compared to last year. Tianzifang had 2,000 people at the peak moment, an increase of 46.8% compared to last year; the total number of visitors was 8,000, an increase of 33.3% compared to last year.
