Oil prices in Asia were steady during the early trading session, but may come under pressure due to the prospect of increased production by OPEC+. Near-month WTI crude oil futures remained unchanged at $62.88 per barrel, while near-month Brent crude oil futures held steady at $67.74 per barrel. Analysts at ANZ Bank's research department stated that some OPEC member countries believe the organization has room to resume production increases in April, as reported by the media. These analysts pointed out that OPEC member countries are scheduled to hold a meeting on March 1 to discuss their supply agreement.
