British Chief Mouser fulfills duty for 15 years and witnesses 6 Prime Ministers.

Today marks the 15th anniversary of Larry, the Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office, taking office in the United Kingdom. Since Larry took office, it has served under 6 Prime Ministers at 10 Downing Street. Larry is a tabby cat with grey and white fur, who was adopted by then-Prime Minister Cameron on February 15, 2011, and officially started its role as Chief Mouser at 10 Downing Street. Although Larry's main duty is to catch mice, according to the UK government website, its responsibilities also include "greeting visitors, checking security defenses, and testing the sleeping comfort of antique furniture".
