On February 13th, it was learned from the maritime department in Zhanjiang, Guangdong that in the first eleven days before the Spring Festival travel rush, the number of passengers transported through the Qiongzhou Strait exceeded 1.3 million, with over 320,000 vehicles. Among them, the number of new energy vehicles transported reached 58,529, representing an increase of 13.5%, 7.5%, and 85% respectively compared to the previous year. According to predictions from relevant departments, the peak travel period for entering the island through the Qiongzhou Strait will be concentrated from February 13th to the 15th, while the peak period for leaving the island is expected to occur from February 21st to the 24th.
