Federal Reserve Governor Milan: The Federal Reserve is the biggest risk facing the growth of the US economy.
Federal Reserve Governor Stephen Moore said on Thursday that the Fed's mistaken assessment of the restrictiveness of its current policy settings threatens the growth of the US economy, while a series of policies by the Trump administration are "supporting" the country's economic expansion. Moore said at an event held by the Dallas Fed, "I think the biggest risk the economy faces is that we misjudge the degree of monetary policy tightening." He added that he does not see an inflation problem. Moore, who was appointed as a central bank governor after serving as a White House economic advisor, has long been one of the biggest proponents of Fed's loose policy.
