On February 6, Wang Guangyue, the Chief Prosecutor of the Criminal Enforcement Supervision Department of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, stated during an interview as a guest on the "2026 Interview with the Chief Procurator" that the national procuratorial organs continuously strengthen and improve the supervision of criminal penalty execution, enhance the quality and effectiveness of the supervision of criminal penalty execution, and better promote strict law enforcement and impartial justice. It was reported that procuratorial organs supervise the normative application of "reducing sentences and granting bail" in accordance with the law, and by the end of November 2025, more than 280,000 cases of review of "reducing sentences and granting bail" have been accepted, of which more than 16,000 cases of parole review have been accepted, an increase of 14% compared to the previous year. They actively promote the supervision of the execution of the financial part of criminal judgments. By the end of November 2025, 516 supervisory opinions have been issued on activities involving the sealing, detention, freezing, and return of property that violate relevant laws, an increase of 1.2 times compared to the previous year.
