According to the National Film Administration, on February 4, 2026, the "Artificial Intelligence + Film Virtual Production Fusion Innovation Laboratory" was unveiled in Deqing, Zhejiang. The "Artificial Intelligence + Film Virtual Production Fusion Innovation Laboratory" unveiled this time was jointly initiated and established by the Zhejiang Provincial Film Administration and the China Film Science and Technology Research Institute. The laboratory will focus on the integration and innovation of artificial intelligence and virtual production technology, focusing on key technology localization breakthroughs, pilot project incubation, AI virtual film production full-process platform construction, industry standard research and development, international exchange and cooperation, and other key directions, systematically conducting forward-looking research and industrial promotion, aiming to create an AI film and television virtual production benchmark base with international influence, promote the formation of a new paradigm of intelligent shooting, and help the film and television industry upgrade in quality and develop new productive forces.
