Successful Installation of the Dome of Fuqing Nuclear Power Unit 3.

Today, the dome of the No. 3 unit of the CNNC Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Plant, which uses China's self-developed third-generation nuclear technology "Hualong One", was successfully lifted, marking the transition of the unit from the civil construction stage to the equipment installation stage. In the morning, the crane slowly lifted the dome weighing over 370 tons from the ground, after a series of high-precision movements such as walking and adjustment, it smoothly hooked into place at the designated position in the reactor building, and the dome was successfully installed. The installation of the dome is an important milestone in the construction of the "Hualong One" nuclear power project, and it is also a key safety barrier for the reactor building. It is located at the top of the nuclear island and its main function is to ensure the integrity and sealing of the reactor building. It is reported that the Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Plant plans to build 6 "Hualong One" nuclear power units. Currently, 2 units are already in commercial operation and 2 units are in the civil construction and installation stage. Once the entire facility is completed, it is expected to provide approximately 60 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity per year.
