The Yemeni government's Ministry of Transportation and Civil Aviation and Meteorology Administration issued a statement strongly condemning the Houthi rebels for blocking a Yemeni airliner from landing at Mocha International Airport. The flight was originally scheduled to fly from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to Mocha, and was the first civilian flight on this new airport route. The statement said that this action blatantly violates international civil aviation regulations, infringes on the rights of the people to travel, and has a negative impact on humanitarian and public services. The Yemeni Ministry of Transportation and Civil Aviation emphasized that the Houthi rebels are fully responsible for the consequences of such actions, and called on the International Civil Aviation Organization and relevant agencies to take necessary legal actions to protect the safety of Yemeni civil aviation. The statement reiterated the commitment to continue efforts to ensure that airport operations and air transportation services are not disrupted. The Houthi rebels have not responded to this statement.
