On January 30th, Liu Wei, Secretary of the Communist Party of the Ministry of Transportation and Minister of Transportation, presided over the Ministry's meeting to review the "Railway Freight Transportation Rules" and other issues. The meeting emphasized the need to fully implement the spirit of the State Council's executive meeting, continue to promote consumption in the transportation sector such as yachts, night cruise ships, small and micro passenger car rentals, and self-driving tours. Improve support policies and safety management systems, help increase consumption capacity, increase quality supply, improve consumption environment, and firmly secure safety bottom line. It is important to strengthen supervision and guidance, and focus on clearing overdue payments of enterprises in the transportation sector and ensure the payment of wages to migrant workers. The meeting emphasized the need to vigorously promote the standardization and institutionalization of railway freight transport, ensure the safety of railway freight transport, regulate the railway freight transport market, encourage deep integration and complementary advantages between railway transport enterprises and other modes of transportation, rational use of resources, reduce transportation costs, and enhance the quality of railway freight transport services.
