Shanghai: Will accelerate the development of the three leading industries of integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, and biopharmaceuticals.

At the 19th Asian Financial Forum held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Wu Wei, member of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, pointed out in his speech that in the year of the beginning of the "15th Five-Year Plan", Shanghai is focusing on building a "2+3+6+6" modern industrial system, which specifically includes: promoting the digitalization and green transformation of traditional industries; accelerating the development of three leading industries: integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, and biomedicine; creating six emerging pillar industries: next-generation electronics information, intelligent connected new energy vehicles, high-end equipment, advanced materials, new energy and green low-carbon, and fashionable consumer goods; and laying out six new key areas: future manufacturing, future information, future materials, future energy, future space, and future health.
