On January 27th, Sina Finance's "Industry Insider" exclusively learned that Maotai Distillery Company, in order to avoid excessive inventory pressure causing operational difficulties in the market, recently allowed distributors to place orders according to actual situations without mandatory payment. At the same time, Maotai Distillery Company has strengthened its support for excellent distributors in terms of market resource allocation, and distributors who do not follow the rules may be eliminated. Typically, distributors of liquor companies pay back the factory in installments and according to a plan multiple times a year. With the returned funds, the factory releases equivalent value goods to distributors. Chinese independent commentator Xiao Zhuqing stated that not forcing distributors to take inventory is to prevent them from accumulating bad inventory and selling at low prices, which would disrupt the market order of those in the positive market. This relaxation of requirements also signifies to some extent Maotai's loosening of control over its distribution channels.
