A landslide occurred on North Island of New Zealand causing multiple people to go missing.

According to the New Zealand Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergency Management, a large-scale landslide occurred at a holiday park at the foot of Mount Maunganui in the Bay of Plenty region of the North Island on the 22nd, causing multiple people, including children, to go missing. Local media reported that the landslide occurred at around 9:30 am local time, affecting the seaside holiday park at the foot of Mount Maunganui, involving camper vans, cars, tents, hot pools, and shower areas. All on-site visitors have been evacuated.
