A magnitude 5.1 earthquake occurred in Qiaojia County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province at 19:32 on the 19th, with a focal depth of 10 kilometers. As of 2 a.m. on the 20th, there have been no reports of casualties or collapsed houses. Local authorities have successfully relocated and settled 31 households totaling 86 people. Cao Shanyou, member of the Standing Committee of Qiaojia County Party Committee and executive deputy county magistrate, stated that after the earthquake, the county immediately activated a level four emergency response, organized forces to conduct a comprehensive disaster investigation and response, and mobilized police, fire, emergency, and construction rescue teams to rush to the earthquake-stricken area for emergency disposal according to the principle of "no household or individual left behind". Town and village cadres and resident work teams were organized to conduct a comprehensive and thorough disaster investigation in the 192 villages of the 17 townships affected by the earthquake. As of 2 a.m. on the 20th, there were no casualties or collapsed houses reported, and the relocation and settlement of 31 households totaling 86 people have been effectively completed. No issues have been found with electricity, communication, reservoirs, or water supply, and further disaster investigation is currently underway.
