In Yunnan Gongshan County, a wildfire is currently occurring and all efforts are being made to extinguish it.

On the 18th, the journalist learned from the relevant departments in Nujiang Prefecture, Yunnan Province that at 16:51 on the 16th, a wildfire broke out in JiaSheng Village, Banzhongluo Town, Gongshan County, Nujiang Prefecture. After the fire broke out, the local authorities organized 326 emergency, forestry, and firefighting personnel to participate in the firefighting work, and so far no casualties have been reported. As of 10 pm on the 17th, the length of the fire line was about 600 meters, the area burned was about 600 acres, and there were no residential areas or important facilities near the fire scene. Due to the adjacency of the fire scene to cliffs and steep terrain, the firefighting efforts are facing great difficulties. The firefighting teams are carrying out combustible material clearance operations 1 kilometer away from the fire line and building fire breaks. As of 8 am on the 18th, the firefighting work is still in progress.
