Dong Xin appointed as Chairman of China Unicom.

China Unicom announced on January 14th on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that its board of directors has appointed Dong Xin as the company's executive director, chairman and CEO, as well as a member of the nomination committee, effective from January 14, 2026. Dong Xin, 59 years old, holds a Master's degree in accounting management and a Doctorate in Business Administration. Dong Xin previously served as the finance director of China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd., chairman and general manager of China Mobile Communications Group Hainan Co., Ltd., general manager of the planning department of China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd., chairman and general manager of China Mobile Communications Group Henan Co., Ltd., chairman and general manager of China Mobile Communications Group Beijing Co., Ltd., vice general manager and chief accountant of China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd., director and general manager of China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd., executive director and CEO of China Mobile Communications Co., Ltd., and deputy director of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television. Dong Xin currently also serves as chairman of China United Network Communications Group Co., Ltd. and China United Network Communications Co., Ltd.
