On January 13th, the "Gree Intellectual Property Protection" WeChat official account released a progress report on intellectual property rights protection. The report shows that from August to December 2025, Gree Electric received penalty decisions for 2 cases of "infringing registered trademark rights" in administrative cases, and judgment documents for 133 civil cases such as "infringement of trademark rights", "unfair competition disputes", and "infringement of invention patent rights". The infringing parties involved in the cases have all been punished according to law, with a total fine of 26,175 yuan and a total compensation amount of 7.6781 million yuan. Gree stated that from January 2024 to December 2025, there were 6 closed criminal cases, with 7 people sentenced to prison terms ranging from 6 months to 3 years and a total fine of 300,000 yuan; 584 civil cases were closed with a total compensation amount of 31.0021 million yuan; 6 administrative cases were closed with a total fine of 97,989 yuan.
