The three major indices rose and then fell back. As of the midday closing, the Shanghai Composite Index fell by 0.03%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell by 0.31%, and the ChiNext Index fell by 0.83%; the Beixin 50 Index fell by 0.27%. The total turnover in the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets was approximately 2,435.181 billion yuan, an increase of about 128.301 billion yuan compared to the previous trading day. At midday, there were 2,430 stocks that rose and 2,865 stocks that fell in the entire market.
