The "Shanghai Medical Insurance" WeChat official account announced that, in order to thoroughly implement the work deployment of the National Medical Insurance Bureau, standardize the service behaviors of designated medical institutions for mental illness in this city, strengthen the supervision of medical insurance fund utilization, crack down on fraudulent behaviors, and effectively protect the safety of medical insurance funds, the Shanghai Medical Insurance Bureau held a collective talk meeting for all designated medical institutions for mental illness in the city on the morning of that day. The meeting conveyed the latest requirements from the National Medical Insurance Bureau on strengthening the supervision of funds for mental health designated medical institutions, reported on the suspected fraudulent issues of some mental health designated medical institutions in Xiangyang and Yichang cities of Hubei Province exposed by the media recently, and conducted warning education based on typical cases found in the city's previous inspections. The meeting had an in-depth interpretation on the medical insurance fund utilization policy, supervision focus, and legal responsibilities based on laws and regulations such as the "Guiding Opinions on Handling Criminal Cases of Medical Insurance Fraud", guiding all institutions to further enhance their consciousness of the rule of law, responsibility, and compliance.
