The establishment of the Industrial and Information Technology Ministry's Committee on Standardization of Humanoid Robots and Embodied Artificial Intelligence Technology.
On December 26, the founding meeting of the Industrial and Information Technology Department's Standardization Technical Committee for Humanoid Robots and Embodied Intelligence was held in Beijing. Kang Jixin, member of the Party Group of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Vice Minister, Xu Xiaolan, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Vice Chairperson of the Central Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party, Vice Chairperson of the All-China Women's Federation, and Chairperson of the China Electronics Society, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Xie Shaofeng, Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Director of the Standardization Committee, also attended the meeting. Relevant officials from the Ministry's Science and Technology Department read out the announcement of the establishment of the Standardization Committee.
The establishment of the Standardization Committee for Humanoid Robots and Embodied Intelligence is an important measure to implement the decisions and deployment of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, to play a leading role in standards, strengthen the supply of high-quality standards, and promote the maturation and application of humanoid robots and embodied intelligent technology. The Standardization Committee is primarily responsible for the revision of industry standards in the areas of basic commonality, key technologies, sub-components, complete machines and systems, applications, and safety for humanoid robots and embodied intelligence. The secretariat is located at the China Electronics Society.
At the same time, the first session of the first plenary meeting of the Standardization Committee was held, where considerations for systematically promoting the development of the humanoid robot and embodied intelligent industry were heard. The constitution, rules of procedure for the secretariat, and procedures for standard revision were reviewed and approved. Discussions were held on the key tasks for the next phase. Officials from the Industrial and Information Technology Departments of some provinces, officials from the China Electronics Society, committee members, and industry experts attended the meeting.
