On December 25th, the Communist Party Committee of Sanmenxia City issued a proposal on formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for the National Economic and Social Development of Sanmenxia City. It mentioned the need to consolidate and enhance traditional pillar industries such as modern gold, aluminum-based materials, coal and coal chemical industry, strengthen the extension of industrial chain, increase the industrial cluster level. In the modern gold industry, efforts will be made to vigorously develop deep processing of gold, rely on leading enterprises such as Zhongyuan Gold Smelter, Guotou Jincheng Metallurgy, accelerate the industrialization of extraction and utilization of rare precious metals, strengthen comprehensive utilization of by-product resources, tailings recycling, gold recycling, on-site transformation of sulfuric acid by-products, expand the development of industries such as electronic gold, gold jewelry processing, extraction of rare precious metals, explore the development of gold composite materials in fields such as national defense, aerospace, semiconductors, biomedicine, high-purity precious metal chemicals. By 2030, the industry scale is expected to exceed 100 billion yuan.
