Transaction volume of 1.3 trillion yuan, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei "Innovation Report Card" released.

The National Bureau of Statistics released the 2024 Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regional coordinated development index yesterday. The calculation results show that the three regions of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei achieved outstanding innovative development results in 2024, sparking new synergies for their coordinated development. In 2024, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regional coordinated development index was 154.1, an increase of 4.9 from 2023. Innovation input and output in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei grew rapidly. In 2024, the region's overall R&D expenditure intensity was 4.22%; the regional technology contract transaction volume reached 1.3 trillion yuan, accounting for nearly one-fifth of the national total. Among them, Beijing's overall R&D expenditure intensity reached 6.58%, maintaining the top spot among provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities, and also ranking among the top global innovation clusters.
