Liaoning Province to evaluate titles for farmers: Proposed to set up four levels of titles including junior, middle, deputy senior, and senior high.

Liaoning Province recently issued the "Liaoning Province New Vocational Farmer Title Evaluation Measures", proposing to carry out the evaluation of new vocational farmer titles, cultivate and foster a high-quality agricultural and rural talent team, and better lead the revitalization and development of rural areas. According to the Liaoning Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the scope of new vocational farmers is individuals whose household registration is below the township level in Liaoning Province, working on the front lines of agriculture and rural areas, possessing certain agricultural technical skills such as planting, breeding, and rural social services, being able to demonstrate and take the lead, and having agricultural production, management, or service as their main economic source. Liaoning Province plans to set up four levels of titles for new vocational farmers, namely, junior, intermediate, associate senior, and senior, with evaluation specialties including agronomy, horticulture, plant protection, aquaculture, animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, agricultural resources and environment, and agricultural mechanization. Farmers who obtain the title of "new vocational farmer" can enjoy some benefits, such as priority recruitment by grassroots service organizations in rural areas when hiring relevant personnel under the same conditions, priority access to new technology training, and priority participation in the testing and demonstration of new varieties, new products, and new models.
