By 2026, our country will build more than 10,000 charging stations at highway service areas nationwide.

Zhou Rongfeng, Director of the Highway Bureau of the Ministry of Transport, introduced at the press conference held by the State Council Information Office on December 23 that by 2026, China will build over 10,000 charging stations with high-power charging guns in service areas along national highways, with no less than 25% being high-power charging guns. During major holidays and peak times when the utilization rate of daily charging facilities in busy service areas exceeds 40%, new charging facilities will primarily use high-power chargers.
