The U.S. prosecutors have charged multiple executives of the bankrupt subprime auto loan company Terracolor Holdings with participating in a years-long "systemic fraud" scheme that shook the banking industry earlier this year. The prosecutors allege that Daniel Chu and David Goodgame planned a series of fraudulent schemes from at least 2018 until September 2025, deceiving loan institutions and investors out of billions of dollars by distorting the nature and value of their loan collateral.
