Douyin held a seminar on the protection of minors, and established an advisory group of experts on the protection of minors.

On December 17th, it was reported that a seminar on the protection of minors on Douyin (TikTok) was held in Beijing. Experts from institutions and universities such as the China Youth Research Center, China Education Association, and Beijing Normal University attended the seminar to discuss the protection of minors and related practices on the Douyin platform. During the seminar, Douyin announced the official establishment of a "Minor Protection Expert Advisory Group" to strengthen external professional guidance and continuously improve the platform's measures for protecting minors. Douyin stated that the platform is exploring the enhancement of "family parental guidance" capabilities within the minor mode, while also working on popularizing protective functions for minors and their parents.
