German lawmakers are set to hold a closed-door meeting on Wednesday to approve a record number of arms contracts, marking the first time a single meeting will approve over 50 billion euros (59 billion dollars) in defense spending. According to procurement documents, these 30 orders will cover a wide range of supplies and services, including 21 billion euros for basic military equipment and clothing, over 4 billion euros for "Puma" infantry fighting vehicles, 3.4 billion euros for self-propelled howitzers, and 3 billion euros for "Arrow-3" anti-aircraft interception missiles.
