Research shows that global warming may cause an average annual decrease of 2,000 to 4,000 glaciers worldwide.

A research report published on the 15th of the "Natural-Climate Change" monthly magazine shows that if effective measures are not taken to address global warming, by the 2040s and 2050s, the global glaciers will accelerate from the current average of 1000 melting per year to 2000 to 4000 melting per year.
