Congress members had previously attempted to include it in the annual defense policy bill set to be announced on Friday. A source familiar with the matter stated that it has not been included at the moment, but the situation could still change unexpectedly. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang met with President Trump and some key lawmakers on Wednesday, after which Huang stated that Congress's decision not to include the GAIN AI Act in the defense bill was "wise."
