TikTok launches its first project in Latin America, investing over 3.7 billion US dollars to build a data center in Brazil.

TikTok will invest over 2 billion Brazilian reais to build a data center in Brazil, making it the company's first project in Latin America. Monica Guise, TikTok's public policy manager in Brazil, said TikTok will partner with data center developer Omnia and Brazil's leading renewable energy supplier Casa dos Ventos to build the data center in the northeastern state of Cear. She also said the project will be located near the Pecm Industrial Port and will rely entirely on clean energy from wind farms.
