According to the Caijing Finance APP, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim stated that Intel (INTC.US) will invest an additional 860 million ringgit (about 208 million US dollars) to make Malaysia its assembly and test operation center, further enhancing the country's key role in the global semiconductor supply chain.
